Fancy text for WhatsApp

WhatsApp has native formatting. This generator covers what native can’t — script, fraktur, fullwidth — with real Unicode characters to copy and paste.

Tip: some styles break screen readers — best kept for titles and hooks.

Script 7/7 Works on 7 of 7 platforms
Bold script 7/7 Works on 7 of 7 platforms
Fraktur 7/7 Works on 7 of 7 platforms
Fullwidth (vaporwave) 7/7 Works on 7 of 7 platforms

WhatsApp already formats text itself: a few characters around a word are enough, and the result stays ordinary text for the app. When native formatting covers your need, prefer it — screen readers can read it, search can find it, and it breaks on no device.

Native syntax

Bold *texte*
Italic _texte_
Strikethrough ~texte~
Monospace ```texte```

The Unicode trick keeps its value for what WhatsApp cannot do: script, fraktur, small caps, fullwidth. Those are decorative styles with no equivalent in the native syntax.

Frequently asked questions

Should I prefer WhatsApp native formatting or Unicode characters?
Native whenever it is enough. It is handled better by search and screen readers, and the text stays editable. Save Unicode for styles native formatting lacks, or for places where the native syntax does not apply, such as a channel name or a status.
Why is my native syntax not applying?
Markers must touch the text, with no space between the sign and the word, and the pair must be closed on both sides. A lone marker shows as-is. Pasting from another app can also swap the signs for typographic variants WhatsApp does not recognise.
